The beutiful city on the Arno river returns to host one of the most important master of XXth century, Pablo Picasso, with all his charm and creative genius. From September 20th, Palazzo Strozzi propose a magic view of Spanish Modernity focusing on the relationship and contamination between Picasso and other greats artists of that period: Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí, Juan Gris, Maria Blanchard e Julio González. Picasso exhibition in Florence at Palazzo Strozzi Thanks to the cooperation of Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi with Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofìa of Madrid, this incredible exhibition will present a selection of 90 works by Picasso and other artists. The show will try to explain the interaction between Picasso and the Spanish Modernity, analyzing important issues amongst real and surreal, prospective and dimension, lights and shadows that the cruelty of human essence merge in the human soul and his representation. The superb contest of Palazzo Strozzi will display also famous masterpieces as Woman’s Head(1910), Portrait of Dora Maar (1939) and The Painter and the Model (1963) by Picasso, Siurana, the Path (1917) and Figure and Bird in the Night (1945) by Miró and Dalí’s Arlequin (1927), divided in 9 different sections, and will include also sculptures, drawings, engravings and even films.
